The Androscoggin Valley Chamber of Commerce was established in 2007 as the successor of the Northern White Mountain Chamber of Commerce. Given the changes in our business base over the last decade, we developed a new business model that has allowed the chamber to thrive despite a long recession.
Our region has changed from an industrial based economy to a service based economy. Two prisons on the outskirts of town provide a significant payroll and our marketing efforts of outdoor recreation, is helping us to diversify our new economy.
With low membership dues and a small business base, the chamber supplements our annual operating budget by holding successful community events! Events such as Riverfire, Wingzilla, and the ATV Festival provide businesses with excellent sponsorship opportunities, create commerce and instill a sense of community pride.
Our growth and experience makes us confident that we offer our members real value for their membership dues! If you have any questions about what the Androscoggin Valley Chamber of Commerce can do for your business and how you can contribute to the momentum of building our new economy, please contact us at 603-752-6060!
